5 Web Design Softwares for Beginner’s and Professionals

In 2023 (nearly typed 2022.. silly me!), of which we refer to as the Digital Era – individuals, local businesses, communities, charities, councils and governments are actively making their products or services available using the world wide web. Getting started online might be difficult for many and as a previous developer myself, people who do not know how to “code” or “program” assume we are tapping into the matrix – not the matrix Andrew Tate keeps referring to either.

This blog is to explain that for example, getting your business online is not as hard as you may actually think and we will provide you with a few ways to do just that. These examples will require no coding knowledge, allow you to create a fully functioning website that works for your businesses needs and essentially will allow you to build that beautiful website, or designs quickly and easily.

1. WordPress

WordPress is a free and open-source software that allows you to build any website, within minutes. Colorlib posted (back in October 2022) that over 810 million websites use WordPress, which is equivalent to 43% off all the websites on the internet – thus making it the most popular Content Management System (CMS) in the world.

WordPress is installable via Softaculous and takes minutes to be setup. Once this has been completed it provides you with built-in themes, which you can fully customise to meet your business needs and if that isn’t enough, WordPress also has a third-party market where you can use free or premium themes that other designers have made. There is a theme for every possible type of website.

Furthermore, you also have access to the Plugin directory which again, similar to themes, provides you with many different types of plugins that add or manipulate how the user interacts with WordPress both in the admin panel and for your customers.

Luckily that using WordPress we have two different services that allows you to get your very own WordPress site setup. You can either view our Web Hosting plans or view our Dedicated WordPress plans.

2. Website Builder

Website Builder is a web design software (again that we provide, via cPanel, across all Web Hosting plans) that allows you to build and publish your website within a few clicks. Website Builder provides you with a selection of templates that you can pick and begin customising. If you are not a fan of the templates available, you can always start a blank project and customise your very own, without any knowledge of programming. Simply drag and drop elements and place them where you want them to display for the user across Desktop, Tablet and Mobile.

3. Weebly

Weebly is a popular web building and designing software. It can be used to create web designs for general websites and online eCommerce stores — millions of users on the internet trust it. Weebly comes with a drag and drop interface to create your web design in just a few minutes. The drag and drop feature makes it even simpler to develop your website design without writing a single line of code.

Weebly is a feature that we also offer that you can add onto your Web Hosting services – see more details here!

4. WebFlow

Webflow is a code-free website design software. It lets you build a custom professional-looking website using a visual canvas. The responsive design makes sure your website looks good on all devices. There’s also a Webflow Designer where you can use HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript. Added to that, you can build custom databases, eCommerce sections, and more. With Webflow, you can get your website up and running fast. It also lets you create and update pages as you go.

5. Elementor

Elementor is a plugin for WordPress but we believe it deserves its own spot on our post – this is because whilst WordPress provides you with many different options to fully customise your website. Elementor provides you with even more features that can improve user engagement on your website, apply further customisations and has its own library of templates and snippets of which you can insert into your website within seconds.

Elementor is subscription based plugin and at the time of writing this article (see website for changes / actual price) would set you back $49 for the whole year! This gives you access to additional features, but even the free version of the plugin, provides you with enough to become a professional web designer.
